We’re a group of young people who have spent time together talking about mental health and how it affects us. For the last few months we’ve been thinking about how to help ourselves manage our mental health and how to help our friends when they’re struggling too. So we’ve come up with two sets of LifeHacks: a set for you and a set to help you support your friends. After all, Mental Health is something you DO, not something you HAVE. We want to help you and your friends take action for positive mental health.

The LifeHacks Booklet is packed with ideas and links to support your own mental health and includes true stories from people who’ve tried them out. This booklet has all the details and is great to share with others who need it.
'These life hacks have made a positive difference to my wellbeing. When I feel low in mood its easy for me to forget the simple steps I can take to look after myself, glancing at the life hacks reminds me of a plan to move forward. Young person'
Little Book of Mental Health LifeHacks to support a friend
The LifeHacks Friend Booklet is packed with ideas and links to support your friend's mental health and includes true stories from friends who’ve tried them out. This booklet has all the details and is great to share with others who need it.
'An important thing I forget to do when supporting a friend is to do fun things with them and not simply discuss mental health. From spending time with my friend and not just talking has meant that our friendship has grown stronger and both of us feel happier. Young person'
