Public Health have helped many schools to develop a ‘whole school approach’ to mental health using the Somerset Wellbeing Framework and the Pillars of Wellbeing. The pillars represent aspects of our lives that are important for our wellbeing and resilience

Advice & Tips 

Setting a home environment which is safe, secure and stable is important to help maintain positive physical and mental health and wellbeing. It can help to have defined areas we can eat, sleep, relax and play. During this period of remaining indoors, this will help support children, young people and families to experience structure and routine within the home. 

 

It is going to be very important to do what you can to keep healthy, happy and safe while at home.

Due to covid19 social distancing measures, families will be spending more time at home and having more children of varied ages to look after, it is important to plan ahead to prevent injury and a preventable need for hospital treatment and care

We’re asking the children and young people of Somerset to get creative to help us design an eye-catching logo for our ‘healthy, happy, safe’ campaign which we have launched here on the ‘Healthy Somerset‘ website to provide information and support to Somerset residents throughout the coronavirus response. The winning design will be used here on the Healthy Somerset website and across social media to support the ‘healthy, happy, safe’ campaign.

 

 

Getting creative is a great way to support your mental health and wellbeing for people of any age.

The competition is open now.

1. How to enter

To enter, upload a picture of your drawing or artwork to Somerset County Council’s Facebook or Twitter page with the hastag #HealthyHappySafeLogoCompetition

Alternatively, you can post your artwork to: Healthy, Happy and Safe Logo Competition, Public Health, B3S, Somerset County Council, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY.

Or you can email  with the subject line: Healthy, Happy and Safe logo competition

Drawings must be a maximum of A4 size, remember to include your name and age with your entry.

The closing date for the competition is Thursday 30th April.

2. Who can enter

To enter you must be under 18 and live in Somerset.
