Sleep hygiene
The importance of good sleep hygiene
In this video Dr Pooky Knightsmith discusses the importance of good sleep hygiene (which is a slightly daft phrase we use to refer to "the recommended behavioral and environmental practice that is intended to promote better quality sleep")
Here Pooky thinks about simple steps that we can take to enable us to get sleep that is better in terms of both quality and quantity. Improving your sleep habits is one of the most simple ways to boost your wellbeing, no matter where you sit on the mental health spectrum, so there is something here for everyone. You can also use these ideas with young people you live or work with.
